My Lord,
I have the honour of acknowledging the receipt of your Lordship's despatch No. 20 of 3rd August, forwarding to me copy of a communication addressed by the Governor of Hong Kong to the Colonial Office on the subject of Chinese Emigration from that Colony, together with a report on the migration.
Towards the latter part of this despatch, it is stated that M. Consul General de Ladeira agreed with the tenor of the report.
I will keep a look out for the arrival and then furnish your Lordship with all the details.
